Attitude is everything

Attitude is everything. Your attitude will determine how far you go in your relationship with God. The reason many times it seems as though the promises of God are without effect is as a result of our attitude. There is an attitude you must have to see the promises of God come to pass in your life. That attitude begins with your decision. God is not interested in indecisive people. He is not interested in those who make half hearted commitment to Him. You must decide where you want to stand: for God, for yourself, or for the world. You must decide where you belong because there is no sitting on the fence- you are either for God or for the world. This is a decision we all have to make. If you want to be named among the few who are experiencing the life of the kingdom on earth, then you must make this decision as well. You must make a decision to consecrate yourself to God, His ways and purposes.

It is the Father’s good pleasure to give us the kingdom, but first, we must align our attitude with His expectation of us. God wants to be the center of your life. He needs your whole attention. He has a plan and purpose for you to run on earth. Make a decision today to have the right attitude towards God.

The Man...

Man is a tripartite being: spirit, soul, and body. The body is that part of our being that gets information from the world and relates back to it. This it does through our five senses: the sense of sight, touch, taste, hearing and smell. The flesh has a nature which is to do its will. The human flesh is also lazy and domineering. The desires of the body are contrary to the will of God. This therefore makes it impossible to please God in your body as a Christian. God gave us the body that He might have expression on the earth through us. However, God will only use those that are completely yielded to Him.
For you to be used by God you must mortify your body. To mortify the body is to suppress its expression. There are two things you must do to mortify the body: first of all you must acknowledge that you died in Christ.  To acknowledge that death is to appreciate the death of Jesus Christ in a way that reflects your gratitude.  The acknowledgment that you are dead to sin will put a restrain to what you do with your body. The second thing to do is to commit yourself to God. By committing yourself to God you are asking for help. You cannot subdue the body with physical will power. You need the help of God to conquer the flesh. When the grace of God is released over your life, sin will no longer have power over you. You will be able to glorify God in your body by living in accordance with His will.

The Pattern of Success...

The pattern of success in the kingdom is the willingness to start small. It is a preparatory stage you must go through to have the kingdom of God come in your life. Everything great starts small. If you hope to be exceptionally good at what you do, you must start small. If you are waiting to start big you may never get started. Small steps are great steps. If you begin small God will increase the abilities He has placed in you. If however you choose to despise y our gifting by not engaging them, you’ll lose them.  The people at the top did not just wake up one day to find themselves there. They took deliberate steps towards their destination. If you are willing to start small as they did you’ll certainly get to where they are. What makes a man successful is what he knows. If you know what others know and apply the same principles they live with to your life and to what you do, you will get the same result they are getting. Lean to ask your superiors intelligent questions that will accelerate your progress.

Growth comes by consistent practice. No matter how small or insignificant your abilities may appear, the capacity to grow in them resides in you. Make effort to improve at what you do daily. Never dwell on a particular level for too long; neither should you be in a hurry to get to the top of your game. Pay more attention rather to your character. God is more interested in the development of your character than He is in your speed. Character is what will sustain you at the top. When you have the right character and willingly start small from where you are, a day and time will come when you will look back and realize how far you’ve gone!
