THE KINGDOM OF GOD

The word “kingdom” is gotten from two words: king and domain. A king is a ruler and domain is the place where he rules. Every kingdom is ruled by a king and a king is as big as the size of his kingdom. The kingdom of God is ruled by God Himself. The kingdom of God has been in existence before the beginning of creation. The kingdom of God has no beginning and no end. The kingdom of God is not limited to time or space. That same kingdom, is what will abide forever. God is calling you to be a part of His kingdom.

One of the misconceptions people have held about the kingdom of God is that, they believe it to be an imaginary thing or something far away. But the truth is, the kingdom of God is within you. The kingdom of God is with you; it doesn’t matter where you are. It is the life of God that has been deposited in the innermost part of our being. However, the kingdom will not come alive or be of any benefit to you unless you accept this to be true. When you have the kingdom of God working in you, all the struggles of life you experience will seize. The things that men live and die for will come to you just as additions. You begin to see things from God’s perspective and enjoy the benefit of His promises.

The two primary things you need to do to experience the kingdom of God in its entirety are: first, you must accept Jesus as the Lord and Saviour of your soul. Jesus Christ is the key that unlocks the kingdom’s vault of valuables. Until you accept him you can never know what it means to live and walk in the kingdom. The second thing you need to do is to renew your mind with the word of God. To renew your mind is to let go of the world’s values and adopt the values stated in God’s word as the standard for your everyday living. The word of God is not an ordinary word. The word of God is all powerful. It can make you what it talks about. It can remould you into a brand new person. The word of God can create in you, the mindset of the godly. But you must first accept it, believe it and act on it. By doing these, you will not only have the kingdom established in your life, but inherit the glorious inheritance of the kingdom!

THE POWER OF FOCUS

The power of focus cannot be over emphasized. We live in a very fast paced and hectic world. But it is important to know that 97% of the things in the world are mere activities that the devil has invented to keep the sons of men busy; so as to remove their gaze from the one important thing in life PURPOSE. Unless you have a firm grasp of who you are, where you are, and the purpose of your existence; you’ll be drawn in diverging directions. You will do what everyone else is doing. You will follow the crowd. Unless you have a focus in your life, every distraction will become an attraction. Every foolish thing will become interesting to you. You will busy yourself in the wrong things with little or nothing to show for your efforts. 

A focused life is what enables you to harness the power that resides in you. It is what helps you to concentrate your energy. If you hope to achieve anything worthwhile in your life, you must focus on it. To focus on your life is to take a stand. A man who doesn’t stand for anything will fall for everything. You must stand up for what you believe. You must act based on your conviction. You must deliberately prune off all the non-essentials to give room for the development of the person God wants to make out of you. You must say ‘no’ to the good so you can have the opportunity to say ‘yes’ to the best. You must be willing to change your friends if need be. It is better to be alone than in bad company; for bad company corrupts good morals. Have focus! When your life is focused, you become very productive. When you are productive at what you do, you become a gift to your world and a blessing to your generation!
